FMA

Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) is a general term used to represent a variety of martial and combative systems indegenous to the Philippines.  FMA is also known as ARNIS, ESKRIMA, and KALI.  Under this umbrella of systems are various styles and sub-styles that were developed from the many regions of the Philippine Islands.  The FMA page is dedicated to those teachers that came before us and to those that continue to propagate and teach the beloved fighting arts of the legendary warriors.  It is also dedicated to students aspiring to someday become a respected Guro and continue the teachings and propagation of our beloved martial arts. 

A full-length film of the VOTM project won the Best Sports Documentary at the NY International Film Festival in the Spring of 2011.  The honor is dedicated to all FMA Guros, Masters and Grandmasters, especially those that participated in the making of the film.  

WFMAA Expo & Laban Laro was created and established by Punong Guro Myrlino P Hufana in 2003.  The 3-days grand, international event debuted at the Embassy Suites/Hilton Hotel in Bellevue, Washington, USA.  The WFMAA continued its events and propagation for 8 years until 2011.  

Voices of the MastersWarrior Arts of the Philippines is a documentary film project dedicated to capturing the stories and signature techniques  of Filipino Guros, Masters, and Grandmasters of the Philippines.
